I Had a Frankenstein SFF build which included a Dell optiplex 980 paired with xeon x3470 and a gt 1030 with 16gb of ram, i tried to insert a gtx 1050ti guess what PSU went boom, bought a new pc and its been months, today i tried to connect my old vga monitor to the new pc it didnt get any signal turns out the hdmi to vga adapter was the one that died, now i have my old SFF in working condition, all this said i want you guys to give me some good suggestions as to what i can do with this SFF pc!

This tool bag fits the NR200 well. There's some room left, which is perfect to fill with some packing material. The case is slightly wider than the main compartment though, so it takes up about 2cm of room from each side compartments. The bag feels rugged enough for this usage, except the zippers are of poor quality, not well stitched either. Since the main compartment opens up straight in the middle and not in a U-shape around, the ingress & egress of the case puts most strain of those zippers on either ends. Not concerning, I'd say, just requires some caution.
The bag alone weighs about 1.5kg; about 9 with just the PC in it.

Curious why people like SFF, I'm usually trying to go bigger. Is it for portable or aesthetic reasons or is there some other reason?
My first SFF case was due to portability reasons. I could keep my PC in the backpack and carry it on flights.
Then I slipped down the rabbit hole.

haha okay thanks, I think I get it. Some may do it for practical reasons then it just becomes a hobby. All the best to you guys, I am a bigger is better guy but on occasion I see this thread just to see something new. I suppose I don't need a portable powerful PC so it never appealed to me.
Do you guys use it for game/LAN parties etc?

You could try a stacked/external liquid cooling or maybe downgrade to an ARC gpu and still have something special/unique.
Some people have butchered/cut out the side panel to allow for the GPU to breathe/fit.
Thermal throttling, it's the main reason I've avoided SFF systems for high performance systems. Even with a full sized dual tower cooler dual 140mm fans, I had to run systems like these without panels:

But to be fair, with gaming you're only intermittently touching 100% utilization so performance isn't as degraded compared to synthetics or sustained loads like rending/exporting.

Mine too shares similar form factor and has FE card. Top exhaust fans + upgrade from stock cooler to thermalright x67 helped a lot in decreasing my cpu temps. From 85c to 77 now

I shunt modded and overclocked mine to being a little more competent than the average RTX 3060. Consumes between 115 and 120W at full-tilt with the max power consumption reported at 130W by HWiNFO64. That being said, overclock settings need to be adjusted when gaming. What I can get away with varies by game. This benchmark was run at with +2,000 Mhz on the memory with the core locked to 1,950 (!) Mhz at 0.875 mV. Love this little GPU, just wish I got the 12 gig variant. Pretty sure I can beat the best score for this hardware config if I tweak my CPU a little.

Can you show how are you supplying the extra juice to the card
It shouldn't go above 75 watts, afaik it doesn't have power connector for extra power.

Why would anybody get an RTX 3070 only to massively power limit it? The 3060 is a 170W GPU. I'm getting the same performance at 105-110W (average during gaming). The GPU will draw 120-130W when I apply a massive overclock and ramp up the voltage (for the sake of benchmarking). Not a sustainable way to run the GPU + not stable in game anyway. A 50-60W reduction in power consumption while netting the same performance is a win in my book. I generally run it at about 1750Mhz peak at 0.800V or thereabouts. Also, this was more of an exercise in soldering (I had only ever soldered wires together previously) and tinkering. On a final note, the performance per liter you can get from this GPU in your setup is simply not possible with an RTX 3070.
