Amazon India lightning deals

something strange I noticed today.
While buying some sunglasses on Amazon and going through the order I got Rs 500 cashback .
I then cancelled that order for certain reason and later reordered same items but included a microsd card. this time i was getting cashback of Rs 417(83 less) it should be more but instead less.
Than I removed the sdcard and checked again with same items and again I was getting cashback of Rs 500.

Also One thing I should mentioned for public awareness here. One of my item was cancelled ( while in transit) on 22nd May and I never got the refund for it. It was third party seller(. Now the tracking showed it reached the seller(1st june) but still I did not got refund even till yesterday unless I called Amazon and they said they will have to manually do the refund. Even they admitted this is flaw after I complained that what If i had forgotten about it. They said they will take the feedback and all.

SO guys do check your refunds too . Often times we dont care if small items and specially incase of third party seller. You may have to chase them.

why is sata more expensive than nvme drives?
sata m2's are almost the same or even more exoensive than a nvme drive.
is it because some people can only use sata on their devices?
Because both use NAND to store data. It's the interface and controller that makes nvme fast. That is why they cost similar.

Demand for SATA drives is much less than NVMe. During Covid, there was a chip shortage which drove the prices up. However, post-Covid, when production ramped up, the demand for NVMe drives reduced as it was mainly being driven by purchase of WFH devices. The manufacturers ended up over-producing and piled up inventory for the NVMe drives that they are now trying to dump.

Yeah, the third party purchases on cancellation are always stuck at "returning to seller" phase. In my case, the refund was processed, but it totally depends on the seller. This happens for items that are directly dispatched by seller. Usually try to avoid those unless it cannot be avoided as Prime purchases shipped by Amazon are not a problem.

what kind of earphones are these?
never heard of the brand.
are these reliable in term of build quality , most the the earphnes i use go kaput in one side .
-These are Chi-Fi Bullet style earphones.
-Yes relatively unknown, you can check the review in the hyperlink to know what to expect from them
-Most of these earphones having straight 3.5mm termination get broken easily when used roughly due to insufficient strain relief, but for the price getting 6 months out of them is good enough.
-If you want some reliability then get earphones with enough strain relief or an L-shaped 3.5mm jack. Also, removable cable iems are also another reliable choice (But be careful of the qdc connectors as they break easily).
-Another earphone to consider for rough users is this one. If you break one just plug in another set

Crucial BX500 2TB
Rs.11,060

I do not recall prices lower than this, great deal.
Do not pay 11k for BX500. BX500 chokes with a fast CPU, saw it first hand on friend's PC with R7 3700X. When you open mulitple apps at once, say discord, steam & ubisoft connect, SSD lags for a sec or two. Rather get SP A55 & save money as well.

Also, no SATA SSDs can cross 550MBps.

Those are old reviews and genuine. But as mentioned previously, Crucial started cutting corners in new batches to improve their profit margin by reducing the quality. It's same with all manufacturers.

Manufacturers switching components in later production runs is despicable. I was referring to sellers offering money for favourable reviews on Amazon.
