PC Peripherals Philips USB hub

is this worth it and good price and good product? want it for ipad pro 11 inch.

Never heard much about philips usb pc products. On amazon there are established & known brands like orico/piplus/belkin/amkett/verilux/cablecreation even amazonbasics.

Philips is a big brand too so brandwise it sure stands tall but yes not much info/review on the web for its USB hub.

I just wanted idea if it's price right from fellow TE members?

Original philips electronics brand is long gone, even in 2014 philips LED TVs were essentially manufactured/assembled by Videocon in India. Such philips usb products are most likely oem products with just philips brand name.

I dont know about this the philips product. But have been using this one (Verilux 7 in 1) for 1 yr with macbook pro for work. completely fine.

Compared to others this Philips hub has 2 year warranty.
But how to avail it might be another issue. No typical Philips store/service centre will likely accept this product just like how many ppl face issue while availing after sales service on LG gram laptop where most LG stores/service centres have no idea/expertise to handle LG Gram laptop & this philips usb hub situation is only going to be worse.

Whoa! LG too.
Let's hope I don't have to test the aftersales service.

Guys,
i recently already bought this.

this is back on sale.
I dont have it right in my hands now and may be month or two away but I am now just curious.
I understand this does 4k@30hz but anything that does 4k @30hz should be able to do 2k @60hz right? or even 1080p@60hz.

Because there is no much info about this on internet , even philips website has less info and I dont care much about 4k@60hz but I do want 2k@60hz atleast.

only little info is here on this japanese website

Ideally yes. But I don't know the one I have is always at 30hz with macbook no matter the resolution. (its something chinese not phillips). Not sure if phillips one would let you do 60hz at 1440P mine is stuck at 30hz even at 1440P with Macbook pro.

oh ....I wish I had asked this before. Now I am stuck with this I guess.
I thought all hubs that can do 4k@30hz can do 2k@60hz .
I even read about some hubs which mentioned it so thought Philips will be similar case.
Philips website has very basic info.
