Western Digital confirms HDD and NAND flash shortages, warns partners of higher pricing

I just searched for the HDD I bought during college in 2015 for 3,899 and it's now selling for 5,099 on Amazon. ( wd element ). Cannot afford shit even after having a job lmao.
Well I bought a 250GB Samsung 860 EVO SSD in 2017 for 6999 XD

We have come a long way for sure. But yeah the news is concerning, especially for HDDs. NAND storage shortage comes and goes, prices genersally come down further than they rise.
 
That's a bummer! I was thinking about setting up a media server for home use by getting a NAS. But I guess it won't be happening anytime soon :(
