Dealing with the Hot Days

It's 12:30 PM and I have already drank 2 Liter of cold water in last 3 hours.
Unless I'm sitting in AC the thirst for water keeps growing.
I usually drink a lot of cold drinks ( Coke, Dew or Limca) but I'm trying to avoid all those considering how much sugar they contain.

What do you guys prefer to drink on a hot day.
And I would like some low sugar suggestions.

I sit under ceiling fan air almost for a good 15hrs a day. Drink plenty of water & occassionally sip on juices but no colas as they are gonna cause more damages than doing any good.
I used to use air cooler during daytime but I want to conserve water so only use it at night and off late due to rains, cooler is sitting idle at night.

when I'm at home I keep the AC at 26 and keep it running till I feel the chills . Since the door is closed the room stays cool for at least 2-3 hours and then I turn the AC on again.
I love butter milk that has Coriander and jeera powder. I also like making fruit Popsicles during summer , my kid's love those as well. And most importantly drinking water out of the mud pot is heavenly and always cool
Damn just realized it's been a long time since I had Namkeen lassi. will surely try it today.
Have some juicy fruits like mousambi or watermelon, or nariyal paani (the real stuff and not the packed, please)
Mom is gonna take care of that, she had told me she will be buying some today.

AC should make you even more thirsty since it removes moisture from the air and you lose moisture with every breath you exhale. This is especially noticeable in a car on a hot day.

An easy way to tell if you are dehydrated is by the colour of your pee:
  • dark yellow = dehydrated
  • medium yellow = perfect
  • light yellow/colourless = overhydrated
Drinking water alone isn't enough. You need to replace the electrolytes you have lost as well.

You'll have to prepare ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) yourself if you want to avoid sugar. Gatorade probably has the lowest amount of sugar.

Will check and take necessary step.
For now gonna stick with lime water .
chana sattu + kala namak + lemon is too good do try it once @NikhilSingh25
Never have tried this, but no harm in trying it once. Probably on Sunday.

As the saying goes, always adopt the "tit for tat" way of living. Get yourself hotter from inside when you can't bear the heat outside.

Consume golgappe, masala chat with a lot of mirch when the heat starts getting unbearable around 10.30 AM. Rub some chilli powder on your body and have 4-5 red chillies with your lunch. Finish your dinner with 250 ml mirchi soup which should ideally constitute of 100 gm green mirch, 110 gm red mirch and 40 ml water.
