Well not exactly dead but at at least for the new AAA games and games which offer DLSS, FSR or XESS upscaling there is pretty much no point in playing at 1080p.

Mostly I've posted tutorials channel which is good but beware of "tutorial hell" and don't do/learn basic concepts on loop.
My learning approch is usually go through tutorials first time and got to know from hight level. Then either do the implementation with the help of documentation or using google to learn (basically read). Reading is slow but it stick with your mind. Similarly with, project implementation give you muscle memory and those bits which is absent in tutorial videos (troubleshoot, navigation).
