LG C4 worth despite green tint issue from certain angles?

Hi Forum Members,
I am looking to buy a new TV as my old Sony lacks HDMI 2.1 for gaming. I have shorted LG C4/G4 as they offer gsync certified 144hz panel plus G3 has color issues in game mode. Problem is G4 has not launched in India yet and I am anticipating it would be significant jump in price from G3 Hence I am closing on C4 instead BUT the problem is as per RTINGS issue it has green tint issue when not viewed straight.
Though I dont plan on viewing from sidelines I would like to know if any existing C4 owner can confirm this?
Thanks

no, even rtings says to get c3, if you can shell out the money for G3 then it's a different matter but not for c4, also c3 has gsync and 120hz so the only thing missing for you is a 24hz refresh rate increase

Over C4? given budget no bar.
yep, if budget is not an issue, then G3 for sure
From what I've read G3 has color saturation issues in game mode
Dont know about this but check out avsforums

Read some subreddit the panel is fully gsync certified until c4/g4 lineup
would recommend avs forums and rtings over any subreddit

Yes confirmed with g3 owners. They suggested some tweaks to reduce the over saturation but it made me leave the choice of picking it up out of the window, otherwise g3 is going for 130k isn't a bad deal

I own a C3 48" & "just" 120Hz refresh rate ain't an issue for 99% gamers. If you are a top 1% gamer in some PvP game, you would be buying a 240Hz monitor instead. My primary monitor is 170Hz & my roommate has a 240Hz G7, so I can safely say 120Hz is not a concern for gaming. G-sync works great on C3 with HDR turned on. I'm happy with the brightness but my room is relatively darker. I feel even in a bright room, the TV is bright enough (I keep brightness % between 10-40%).

Saturation & colours can be tweaked from TV settings or Nvidia control panel to suit your needs.

I purchased my C3 in May after reading the C4 reviews & deciding to not wait till Diwali for C4.

Prices in BLR in May:
C3 48" - 89k
C3 55" - 119k
G3 55" - 135k (so 130k is a good deal)

If budget is no bar, maybe look at Sony options, like A95L ro go for higher size if space permits. Their picture & sound tuning are visible (checked A80L & C3 side by side).

Would've went sony but the input lag is somewhat higher + hdmi 2.1 isn't on all ports the last time I've read. I would need at least 3 ports with hdmi 2.1 for sound system, console & pc

I doubt the lag will be an issue but eARC on a HDMI 2.1 port with limited ports will definitely be, not sure why Sony is stingy that too on A95L, heck it is not worth being stingy even for A80L considering their prices.

On poorly optimised games on console example Rise of the Ronin that I'm currently playing, the input lag is noticeable

I've read multiple reviews on Sony vs LG, sony does have an upper hand in displaying cinematic content but it's merely 19-20 difference whereas the trade off is huge when you're getting more hdmi 2.1 ports & better gaming experience in LG.

I think it might be a case of poor frame times because of game optimisation on the console hardware. Which monitor/TV though?

Rtings.com states input lag of 8.2ms for A95L, which is lower than the required 1000/120 ms required for a 120Hz panel, from what I understand. Surely, G3 is better as it has an even lower number.

Anyways, HDMI 2.1 is definitely a deal breaker. The difference between Sony & LG is surely only noticeable side by side, so no loss. A80L (150k) vs LG C3 (119k) that I saw side by side, me & my friend didn't feel the Sony is worth paying 30k extra for bit better colour tuning & better sound.
