Mounting a Samsung EVO drive on a Corsair Carbide Series 100R chassis

I am trying to install a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SATA 6.35 cm (2.5") Internal SSD

on my Corsair Carbide Series 100R CC-9011075-WW Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

The two existing SSDs are installed via a slot-in plastic mount held by plastic snap fit fasteners. Please see attached images of the case and drive cabinet.

I tried getting a 3.5inch to 2.5 inch mounting adapter but it did not have holes in the right places.

Surfing the web, I found out that the Samsung EVO SSD is non-standard:

I also found this video instructive:

but my hardware is different.

Does anyone have experience with my use case? What hardware and mounting screws would you recommend?

Thank you.

There is no chance the Evo uses non-standard mounting holes. It's likely the bracket that is the problem.

Share a pic of the bracket you purchased (better if you can show it along with the SSD to see what is not aligning).

Those are not mounting holes for any kind of drive.

You should simply get this adapter. This will hold your SSD (screw it in) then this whole thing will go into one of the mounting tray of your drive bay, then that tray will go into cabinet.

I bought and mounted the SSD to the adaptor shown by @Heisen but it would not fit into the drive cage, which is 11 cm wide rather than 10 cm. See attached images.
The upshot was that I used double sided-sticky foam tape and affixed the adaptor to the top of the cage as shown. Thanks to @iPwnz. :)

I am surprised why it won't fit or you are doing something wrong, the adapter that you ordered is the same size as 3.5inch HDD, see how it fits perfectly in place of 3.5 inch hard disk.

and how the typical 3.5inch hard disk fits in your case.

The difference of 10mm that you are seeing is perfectly acceptable, look at these tabs they go in holes of the HDD so that it gets locked. Similarly in your case they should go in the holes of the adapter.

Where can I get the plastic/fibreglass slot-in drawer-like SSD mounting bracket that you have shown? The original cabinet came with two of these, but when I looked to buy a third one online, I could not find any, and had to settle for the metal adaptor like this one:

Perhaps I did not use the correct search terms to look for the type of mounting bracket you have shown, but that was the one I was looking for. Can you please direct me to where I could buy it one? It will be useful when need arises in future.

Thank you.
