Laptops Please help me find a replacement fan for my laptop.

Asus is asking Rs.800 as service charge for a Rs.432 replacement part and this fan is not available online or offline.
Is there any way I can find this fan outside the service centre or can I buy the parts from Asus themselves through the self-service method which is available in the US?

I would suggest you try to visit the laptop repair shops in your city. they repair a lot of laptops and generally will have spares lying with them if your aim is to go for cheaper option. Ordering from US, you may have to pay customs and long shipping times.

That's the problem, I'm out of my city where I could have found out but I'm in Jaipur for the time being and people around me are unable to tell where I could find such shops, the few places they knew are unable to help. And shipping it from my home town would still be expensive although not as much.
 
Go to indiamart website. There are tons of laptop spare parts dealer there. Just put your requirement or look for laptopt spare parts and you would get contacts of the dealers. They will need pictures of the required spare parts. And they do ship pan india. Also they negotiate prices due to competition.
 
800 service charge seems fine to me, considering you don't have to go anywhere else. The Rs.432 replacement part that you are looking for, chances are when do find it, the total cost for acquiring it won't be 432.

As others mentioned you can try your luck with laptop spare parts dealers.
