Budget 0-20k Refurbished or New PC

Has anyone ever tried refurbished or renewed pc or using Dell Optiplex or such a system and later added mid range graphic card to build a system instead of paying more for new system

Currently I am looking to assemble a pc or buy something refurbished like dell optiplex etc ..

Budget like 15 to 20 k for full pc

Main use .. school college project some home excel work etc.. some games at mid level like RDR2 or cyberpunk etc.

I am ready to buy used stuff or refurbished or renewed from local market or amazon..

How good are Dell optiplex
What gen processor are good.. don't want to go for 4 or 3 gen Intel
Want to spend as little as possible
I can add graphic card later

Any good seller in mumbai or online to trust

Please help
 
I was in the same situation a few months ago and decided on a used Dell OptiPlex 7050 SFF. It was the best decision ever. The system runs 24/7 as my homelab.
I purchased it in excellent condition from oldlappy. It has a 6th generation Core i5 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 500GB HDD.
I paid around ₹13,800 for it. Now, there are newer models available for under ₹13,000 that you can explore.
Additionally, check the refurbished section on Amazon. There are some decent systems within your budg
et.

How good are those amazon motherboard + Proccy + RAM bundle

i have seen Zebronics, consistent, fastron H61 or H81 motherboard with i5 3rd or 4th gen proccey for as low as 4k

are they good, can we add graphic card and run games on it ?

also which one is good H81 - H61 - H110

i am more inclied to at least i5 8th gen

Go with second hand but trust only on Branded (Gigabyte/ASUS/MSI etc.) don't go with any other cheap/low cost brand.
For second hand also, I will suggest to buy from TE and that too from old/reputed members only.

This an excellent choice, but you must know how to assemble and install everything. There are MANY such cheap combos, and they work really well.
You will not be able to officially run Windows 11, but Windows 10 is still supported. Additionally, these older devices work well with Linux.
