Budget 21-30k Which laptop makes sense in my case

A bit of my background: I plan to get some work experience (2 years) before going for masters. Need a laptop to study (software like vivado and quartus for vlsi/excel and word for GRE prep) and want to learn some basic 3d modeling although not a must for now(containers and cases for my electronics project). I was thinking of buying a gaming laptop after I fly to the US(due to warranty issues and pricing). Until then I am in need of a refurbished temporary laptop that can be easy on wallet but also be somewhat decent.

Option 1: Lenovo L480 with an i5 8350u, 32 gigs of ram and 512gb ssd.
Price: 24000

Option 2: Lenovo T14 with amd ryzen 5 pro 4650u 16gb ram and 512gb ssd.
Proce: 36000

PS: Yes I am a cheap skate looking to save as much as I can for my MS. :)

Edit 1: Gaming is not a factor for me.

as i posted on my post, its very very hard to find a Thinkpad in original quality, they swap original parts with cheap quality product

i5 8th gen should be around 15-17k - not more than that, but again very very hard to find Thinkpad with original screen, keyboard, etc
better go with new or check thouroughly before buying

Where are these prices from, and which city are you in?
Last year I bought an L490 for 15.5k. It was only 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, but even adding those updates it's much lesser than 24k.

The l480 is from amazon with 6 months warranty through Amazon while the t14 is from retechie with "2 years warranty". I'm based in Mumbai.

If any of you know good trustworthy resellers for used laptops in Mumbai please let me know.

Go to Lamington Road ... Lot of shop sell used laptop

But please check the item... Ask for original non repaired laptop and also ask if the screen is changed ... Do proper checking with usb, wifi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack, audio etc, check charging, check hinges ..... bargain ....
