Laptops 2019 MacBook Air with Dead Logic Board

MacBook Air 2019 for parts? The computer stopped booting one day and Apple guys said it's irreparable.

The laptop itself is in pristine condition.

Thoughts?

Shipping charges pretty much.
I don't think you understand that there is a market for spare parts.

Even dead laptops from this decade are worth more than shipping alone since there's always something that can be salvaged.

It's always great to have people chime in in these discussion posts but please do refrain from sharing advice on matters you're unfamiliar. Someone even less knowledgeable than you could take whatever you say on face value and be misguided.

Regardless, one phone call to my local laptop market and I got a quote on a dead MBA 2019. 12k sight unseen. Possibly more when the condition is confirmed.

You should definitely go for 3rd party repair at least once. Very high chances that it is repairable.

Apple will always say unrepairable to any logic board problem.
Yep, got it checked at a reputable store in Delhi and they said dead logic board. Will get it checked once more before scrapping it.

Posting here since it's as good as any. I have a bunch of parts for the 2012 15" non-retina MacBook Pro.

These are from the time when I built a MacBook Pro by ordering replacement parts from Aliexpress (yes really).

Depends on who you are selling to and the work you're willing to put on it tbh. Selling all the good parts separately will net you most, but since we don't have sites like ebay that will be very difficult. If you can sell it for 12k at once, I would say go for it once you confirm MB is dead.
