Ac recommendation| Daikin 1.5 ton 3 star vs Panasonic 3 star 1.5 ton

Confused between these two.
This will be my first Ac purchase, therefore i m clueless on what to choose
Which will have better service.
What are the basic differences between these models.
Is 32k a good deal or just normal pricing for these.
Thanks

I have used Panasonic AC in past, won't be getting them again. They provide service via 3rd party providers who are usually clueless and expensive. Also, while the panasonic stuff looks good in specs they use cheap parts where are bound to fail in long run (or immediate short term).

I'd purchased daikin 1.5 ton 3star AC at 37k in April this year. Totally satisfied with performance of cooling capacity. No complaint only cons is outdoor unit is somewhat bigger than normal and noisy a bit.

I also got Daikin 1.5 T 3 star at around 33k in Feb this year. Satisfied with the cooling performance so far.
I've heard only good things about Panasonic ACs too. Won't go wrong with either of them.

How inportant is convertible mode in an ac?
Daikin dont seem to have one.
on yt people are saying that this reduces the power consumed by a good amount.
While giving the option to regulate it according to number of people present.

Daikin is one of the top manufacturers to get ACs from, way better than other brands like Voltas, LG, Panasonic, etc. The only competitors it really has is Mitsubishi and O General. You can't go wrong with ACs from these 3 brands.

Convertible mode is overrated. Most Inverter ACs have variable compressors. Convertible mode is just limiting the compressor use to different levels (say 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) of its original capacity. This sounds good on paper, except when you need cooling fast. You're essentially saving electricity at the cost of cooling. During extreme heat waves, room temperates might not reach desired level, even after prolonged use.

Daikin INVERTOR ac also have variable compressors, but they won't let you limit the compressor. However there's functions available which lets you see what percent of compressor is being used (0%-100%). You can control compressor level by limiting desired temperature of the room (i.e. changing the temperature gradient between outside world). I'd argue this is better because you don't have to worry about tussling with two different settings. Just set a desired temperature and compressor will adjust accordingly.

Agree with this. Less hurdle of worrying about the convertible settings and let AC do what is supposed to do, i.e. Cooling.

Been using 3 different ACs from past 5 years - Godrej, llyod and Panasonic

I can tell that panasonic works the best. I clean it once a month and it never required servicing.
