Need a 3.5mm AND USB-C dongle thing.

I know this may be a niche and/or weird case.

So, I have a pair of headphones with a 3.5mm cable, which I used to use with my office laptop and phone, plugging in and out as necessary. Now I recently bought a phone which only has USB-C and no 3.5mm port. I would like to keep the same headphones and continue with the plugging in and out as necessary. I have a 3.5mm to USB-C dongle but that involved plugging my headphones out of the laptop, into the dongle and then into the phone and reversing the whole thing when I want to plug back into the laptop. I find this really clunky.

What I need is some dongle that attaches to the headphone's 3.5mm prong and has dual ends with both 3.5 mm and USB-C. The idea is to leave the headphones plugged into this and use either of the other 2 ends as required, thus avoiding constantly plugging and unplugging from the 3.5mm to USB-C dongle.

Basically, something like this but instead of just one USB-C pin, it also has a 3.5mm prong/pin. Tried looking on Amazon but it was giving regular results. Not even sure how to search for it honestly.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get this and connecting/disconnecting the dongle becomes trivial. Mine supports fast charging as well.

Magnetic phone mount + magnetic charger cable = ultimate convenience in car.

This is a difficult to find device.

3.5 mm jack is an analogue connector.

USB is a digital connector.

I have yet to encounter a dongle which does both in a tiny form factor. That is one 3.5mm female and one 3.5mm male and another USB C male.

Instead I have a couple of suggestions which you might want to try:

1. A 2in1 USB C and 3.5mm for your phone. It is tiny, convenient and resolves a big part of your problem. Something like this.

2. A multipoint bluetooth DAC like Fiio BTR3 or BTR5. It will be a bit pricier but the most convenient for your use case.

Yah I had no idea this is such a complicated request. After posting this thread I Googled a bit and some Reddit results also pointed out this aspect. Thank you for your response. :)

Thanks. Already have something similar. What I need is the opposite of this. I think i wasn't clear in my original post but it's basically an impossible to find device anyway, it seems. :D Thanks for your time. :)

Plug one of the two other ends into your USB dongle, and the other one stays as an AUX. I THINK this should work.

1. Looking for wired solutions to avoid recharging hassles.
2. If I did that I would have the reverse of my current problem. Unless you're suggesting using two headphones, which also I want to avoid.
3. The converter isn't the problem; the problem is it's not converting in the direction I need.
Already have one of those but again, not the solution I am looking for. Basically need the reverse of that. :D But thank you for your time. :)

yeah looks like it might be unwieldy if that splitter cable is too long. You need to find a shorter one.

Not sure what kind of office laptop you have and why audio output over USB would be disabled as the pins are distinct from data transfer. Logically, makes the most sense to use USB C in both cases if possible or even get a USB A male to USB C female adapter with audio pass through, if laptop doesn't have USB C ports and you are insistent on using more unwieldy adapters.
