Graphic Cards Help with upgrading Graphics Card

So I am looking for a 4060 but cant find any with 16gb graphics, so found only 4060 ti that got 16gb but its 1.5x the cost of 4060 8gb. Kindly help. My current graphics card cant even handle unreal tutorial loading and shows "out of VRAM" every time. My main goal is to have a graphics card that will last me atleast 5 years and can survive the humid condition of Kolkata for 10-12 hours per day usage.

    • CPU - Ryzen 5 3600

    • GPU - NVIDIA 1050ti 4gb

    • Not highly interested but if its possible to do it safely, then yes.

you can also look into Intel Arc 770 which is around 31k if Nvidia is not the priority.
 
You can go for used gpu also if you like 3060 12gb would suffice your needs i guess as you are using 1050ti currently. Used 3060 will cost you around 15-17k depending on brand, model and warranty.
If going somewhat higher and more Vram is requirement then 3080 10gb and 12gb variant(hard to find) will be best bet under 30k.
Same Way used AMD 6600xt/ 6700xt and 6800xt are there if you don't constraint yourself with Nvidia only and all 3 of these have good amount of Vram and cost from 15k-30k.
If u only wanna go with New then Nvidia 40series and AMD 7x series is there. Buy depending on your budget and need.
 
If you're buying new now, Radeon RX 7700 XT 12 GB looks like the current best option within your budget. You can check pcpricetracker.in for options.

If you need Nvidia, RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB can be had for a 3-4K premium, but it's substantially worse in raw performance, so looking for used higher tier options could be a good idea.
 
7700XT, it outperforms 4060Ti for gaming. Nvidia should have the edge for productivity but that's not your primary usage. Sure 4060Ti will be better for RT but RT is useless at this performance class.

Thank you everyone but gaming is my secondary requirement. I am happy to play even at medium settings. But everywhere I checked, it seems for Unreal and Unity or blender, NVIDIA is defacto recommended. As much as I want to save money; it wont matter if I cant use Unreal and unity.

As such please recommend NVIDIA GPUs as much as possible. Also I can increase my budget to 60-70k if it can give me 3-5 years of smooth operation.

It's the 4070 Ti Super that would probably meet your expectation, but, unless there's some kind of stock clearance discount/price correction in the coming months (that may or may not happen), Nvidia doesn't seem keen to let you have it without another 5-10K premium added on top.

You could drop a cool 60K on a very good 4070 Super model, but the 12 GB of VRAM at that price point would be a deal breaker for me. If it's all you can afford, then you don't really have a choice, but it would be a compromised solution.

If you can swallow going closer to 80K, and that the next gen 70 series will probably match/possibly outperform the current Ti Super in a few months time, at closer to the existing Super price point (however, possibly still only having 12 GB of VRAM), then buying the 4070 Ti Super might be the way to go.

Thank you. Yes, my Budget is max 60k, so I guess 4070 super is my only option. The VRAM is so annoying really. NVIDIA really fleecing people. I will get the zotac 4070 super 12 gb for 55.5k from Vedant I guess. I wonder if my Corsair vx 750 can handle it though.

Nvidia GPUs are better for productivity for sure & I would not recommend AMD GPUs for productivity-focused builds. You take the call between which is the primary usage of your PC - gaming vs productivity or increase budget for 4070S (everything below that are just bad for their price from Nvidia).

R5 3600 will be a bottleneck for gaming, but 5700X3D exists for an upgrade.

Thank you my friend. I ordered Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge 12GB GDDR6X from Vedant at 55.5k. I will update this thread once I get it on my hands and see how it goes. Plan is to upgrade CPU and Mobo next year, until than it has to do. I just hope my Corsair VX 750 holds now.

750W should provide headroom for your upgrades as well.

You can use PSU calculator that provides you a rough idea. Its best to have 150-200W or more than the total draw.

Got it guys. Works really well. I did freak out when the fans didnt run when i started the PC, after some googling found out there is a setting to auto turn on fans when GPU heats up lol. I was 50% about to go for RMA. Power supply holding fine as well. I will try some games on weekend to see how it goes. Thanks again for all the help and advice guys.
