Please vote on the poll and select all mandatory fields. Mention any additional fields in the thread below. The objective is to remove the non-essential fields and keep/add the mandatory ones and improve usability.

Reason for sale - is mostly anyone can give any common reason . It is okay to have but not sure if it is that important.

Shipping Risk with buyer or seller or 50/50 options - is good to have.
I have been always clear about shipping Risk being on buyer but some seller here don't mention it but when I discussed the risk during buying they said it is with buyer. So it will be more clear now to have instead of being hidden and doubtful.

Rest I can't think of right now. But will add.

The condition field is entirely subjective. What might be 5/5 for sellers, might turn out to be 2/5 or 3/5 for buyers. It could be made more specific. Ownership details could be useful in some cases - whether first owner, or a pre-owned item. Also, whether the item has ever been physically damaged, or serviced - details if yes.

I think a pinned detailed description of what each of the 5 ratings mean could be an option as well. e.g 5/5 = No scratches, working as intended, no faults, no dust or grime build up. 4/5 = very slightly scratched & dust/grime etc. 3/5 = major scratches, sticker removed/ slightly rusted and so on.

My no.1 request to add a field would be for shipping risk because I have seen how quickly things turn worse when its fault of neither party. Options should be 50/50 or full buyer risk.
Payment option should be removed because of a plethora payment methods now a days and I doubt a deal would get stuck due to it.

An option for Is Item was disassembled in any form? If yes then state the reason for it.

This will help us to know about if the item is in it's original form never dissembled for any reason, like in case GPUs if the GPU is opened for repasting at any point in past, the buyer should know.

In case phones, we can tell if a phone is dissembled at any point for things like battery replacement. Usually the original gasket is compromised when this is done not the right way, so buyer can have an idea that seals might not be in original form.

On in case products with warranty still left, if product is opened, the buyer will have an idea that warranty might not apply now.

All these cases will be answered with just one question "Is Item was disassembled in any form", maybe we can phrase it better. But you get the idea.

It will be difficult to provide any sort of condition scaling for each item, and there are too many factors to consider here.
Plus seller could make description act in their favour.

Mentioning all kinds of things that has happened to the subject compared to stock condition is a viable option.

A video & a live video before making payment
This will be so annoying for every day deal.... If needed this should be done for high value deals only.

Don't GPUs come with a sticker applied over screws to show they aren't opened? Or is it not always the case.

Sometimes it's hard to truly judge the condition of an item from pics alone so it's better to have a condition rating along with the pics. I get what you mean though. It will be hard to enforce it since sellers would be biased towards higher than actual rating.

@Renegade
Do give an option under Price, Condition, Purchase Date, Warranty, Invoice as "Multiple descriptions" or "Check Individual Item Description"
In case we are dealing with multiple items with a variety of factors it is useful. For example sale thread of multiple items, under "Sale Value" currently we give a notional value or total value and this is misleading sometimes.

Will enforce single item in a thread. Users can create multiple threads for multiple items. Still if someone is not interested then they can create threads in a separate section outside of core market section.

I disagree.

We should only remove the ability to add more items after thread is made.(This doesn't include the retailers section).

Let's say someone wants to sell a full gaming pc on the marketplace, but if seller after sometime decides to sell it in parts, well now it's multiple items.

If we could allow seller to add multiple prefix on a single thread, that would be great.(Eg someone is selling a gpu and cpu in a single thread then a prefix for processor and video card at the same time ).
Also this would make search much easier.

Using something outside core marketplace will be hard for to keep track on, so that's that.

Also just think about the huge amounts of threads that will be created. It will be one heck of a hell.

Well the user can post whatever they want in the thread, just that it would be difficult for buyers to find the items. Easy for buyers that open every thread.

1. Whether the person selling is the first owner.
2. Invoice must not hide the purchase price under any circumstances.
3. Photos must be taken clearly and in close up to show the actual condition of the item, especially for defects.
