iOS 18 brings Live Voicemail with Transcription to India

Yeah, I've seen it only on Airtel, called something as Visual Voicemail. There are no additional fees, and I am not even sure what carrier feature is being used, cause it looks like the whole thing is done on the phone anyway. Basically its the same as that on IOS 18 (atleast from an end user...

Bsnl compatible router with wifi and lan ports.

Looks alright, only thing to confirm is whether you'd be able to change the GPON serial and other parameters easily. Otherwise you would need the LCO/BSNL to register the new ONT in the OLT.

iOS 18 brings Live Voicemail with Transcription to India

It’s available on Airtel, my spouse’s phone has it enabled for a while now, currently on IOS 17. Not sure if it’s a postpaid only feature. The transcription feature is also available and shows as Carrier Voicemail. However, I couldn’t enable it on Jio, it always said the feature isn’t available...

Bsnl compatible router with wifi and lan ports.

@anmolbhard004 That's exactly my point, the compatibility is not as good as the Huawei unit. Airtel in my area uses a Tejas Networks OLT (TJNW). So I guess that's two now which the TP-Link does NOT support (Alcatel and Tejas Networks). I had reached out to this guy sometime ago...

Bsnl compatible router with wifi and lan ports.

The compatibility of the TP-Link isn’t that great. So with some OLTs it may not work. Whereas Huawei HG8120C has good compatibility, I’ve not come across a situation where it hasn’t worked. If available, get the Huawei HG8120C, there should be sellers on IndiaMart. I wouldn't say so...

Android Phone/Tablet charging from same adapter?

@dktechsavvy That’s interesting, which power adapter was it? Over the years, I’ve not seen any such issues.

Android Phone/Tablet charging from same adapter?

No it wouldn't damage the phone, the device and the charger always does a handshake before upgrading to a higher voltage. The supported voltage outputs seem slightly different for Samsung 25w vs Xiaomi 33w, so would need to check whether the fast charging works as expected. If the device and...

iOS 18 brings Live Voicemail with Transcription to India

Wasn't this feature available earlier too on Airtel? However, on Jio it wasn't available earlier. I updated to IOS 18 and now I see the live voicemail option. The default voicemail message sounds very robotic, would need to set a custom message.

Linksys LN1301 - Group Buy from US

I’m guessing it’s cause Woot is a deal site and products maybe available only for a short duration. Perhaps if you push them to buy from Woot, might work. However Woot is very slow in shipping at least this product, it may not be delivered to the US address until mid October going by their...

    Power management for my miniPC

You could use wake on lan (WoL) to trigger the PC to power-on. However you'd need a separate always-on device to do this. Maybe your router if it supports it (easier if its running custom firmware). Another option is to use a smart plug and turn it off and on (automatically when your control...

    Power management for my miniPC

Do you want to increase backup time or just want to safely shutdown the machine on power failure which lasts more than say 20-25 minutes? Regarding the latter, I think it would be easier with a UPS which offers a communication port so that you can interact with the UPS to detect power failure...

Any way to use a dell adapter on hp

There is a separate control signal through a 3rd wire, which is why it is not working as-is. This control signal is used to determine if the charger is genuine or supported etc. Even if you swap the connectors it may not work...

Suggestion for Router | Office use | Airtel Xtreme

@guest_999 It works for BSNL too, I mentioned Airtel specifically as this thread was related to Airtel. BSNL cannot be generalised too, as the equipment used would vary all over the country due to it being managed mostly by a local cable operator. Eitherway, I have used my own ONT with BSNL from...

Suggestion for Router | Office use | Airtel Xtreme

@zoozoo I personally prefer a basic ONT without wifi and other bells/whistles, and use my own router + AP as needed. Coming to the ONT, I've personally used Huawei HG8120C and Digisol DG-GR6011. The Digisol is basically a VSOL rebrand, so you can find the same unit from other brands as well...
