Did you delete the data from the card or Is your PC not able to detect the card? Incase of deletion many softwares like Recuva(free) can be used to get the deleted data. If you card is damaged or corrupted then try the softwares like Arax data recovery or Get back data. Data recovery...

Try some 3rd part applications used to migrate HDDs. Paragon and Acronis provide some good softwares for migrating hard disks. just check if it supports different sized HDDs.

Have you thought about Nikon P80 or P90 P80 is much cheaper than SX10 the video is not HD though in P80
