    the samsung backup i took of my win 7 was around 12 gb which i took on a usb 500gb drive but then i formatted the whole hdd and reinstalled the windows with the serial key that came with my laptop .... once u have the drivers downloaded and saved ... do you really wanna restore from recovery...

    well i have used a multiple of laptops at office and personal and based on experience i like the wd one's ... do note samsung hdd on laptop runs hotter in general and also i hope you have not ordered online ... max hdd issues are due to manhanding and mismanagement in shipment .do install HDD...
