I would suggest that you should go for HD7850. Reasons- 1) You are upgrading later this year, so it will save your graphics card upgrade. 2) Even though minimum recommended power supply is 500W, I highly doubt you rig would reach even 450W (hd7850's 28nm tech), unless you have lots of hdds...

Corsair carbide 400R is totally worth it imo! Can be had for ~5k. But I am with alpha17 about going with NZXT tempest EVO. As it has better cooling and more good reviews for almost no price premium over 400R. Please reconsider

^ you are very correct. It 8400GT is in cuda support list. If you have a discrete graphic card, why do you want an onboard. Onboard one shares system ram.
