Graphic Cards So how many of you USE MLAA?

I use MLAA almost in all the games, it makes tangible difference in games which doesn't have AA enabled (POP, GeOW, NFSHP etc.)... Although I've had issues with MLAA screwing up text in FF4, unwanted image smoothing in FastPictureViewer and sometimes even "melting window" effect on Catalyst...

Looking for the name of this old cartoon ...

I think I know what you mean.... but for love of god, I can't remember the jack of it. Which is why, I was expecting a little more details from you, hoping that you might have little more memory of it. It's all kind of big vague blur in my head. I know it's the same thing, by your description...

    CPU/Mobo Z68 Motherboard discussion thread

@carbonn: 1) You can use dGPU as primary even while using Virtu and it will not affect your 3D/dGPU performance. When using Virtu if you use dGPU as primary, you get best 3D performance just like stand-alone dGPU and also access to QuickSync. So with or without Virtu your dGPU performance...

    CPU/Mobo Z68 Motherboard discussion thread

^ Nope... you can use QuickSync even when you have dGPU set as primary. Check Virtu part in the review: AnandTech - Intel Z68 Chipset & Smart Response Technology (SSD Caching) Review

    CPU/Mobo Z68 Motherboard discussion thread

There are however, couple of distinct advantages to Synergy over Vitru. Although the details are scarce, it seems that using Synergy, one can completely shut-off the dGPU and use iGPU exclusively. Which is similar to Virtu's primary iGPU mode but with ability to completely shut-off GPU, like...

    CPU/Mobo Z68 Motherboard discussion thread

Virtu offers two modes.... 1) iGPU as primary, dGPU as virtualized 2) dGPU as primary, iGPU as virtualized. First mode will let you use iGPU as graphic output, using it as primary GPU for 2D and video decoding tasks. dGPU will kick in for 3D games and remain idle for rest. Since dGPU is...

Graphic Cards AMD Catalyst & nVidia Forceware driver updates

Re: Recently released ATi Catalyst & nVidia Forceware drivers Been using Catalyst 11.4 since the preview version. The current WHQL'd version is very stable. My PC gaming has been on hiatus for couple of months, so can't really say if there is any speed advantage/increments. But overall 11.4...

    PC Peripherals XIGMATEK Elysium

^ True. The depth is what is my problem. I cannot put the case of the floor and my table isn't long enough to set this up properly. Not to mention, if I was to buy this case... even I would have to prepare for the earful of stuff. :P

A sad day for Notion Ink. Adam gets a 3/10 rating on engadget

While it's true that most of the Adam's issue are software related and can be fixed with updates (apart from the camera and sub-par screen implementation)... the failure was expected with so much delays. The world around tablets has changes and advanced too fast and what could have been a decent...

Device needed for connecting Desktop PC to internet through WiFi

^ That is partially correct. You are correct when you're saying that ping times and overall latency will be higher on WiFi connection, but the download speed or net browsing speed is hardly affected unless there is signal loss (in case of using laptop in different room). You are comparing...
