@Praks I read somewhere that openwrt had been tried and it worked. but IMHO, when u have debian or arclinux working well why demote or step down and try using ddwrt.

considering the difference is just 900 bucks, go for goflex net. pogoplug, owing to its dependancy on pogoplug software, is out of favour with the dev community. goflex on the other hand, is more versatile and expandable.

incase u get stuck or something or feeling lazy, thanks to Varkey ofcourse, i have an image ready. with webmin and transmission in there. all u need is a 4gb pen drive and a usb image tool to burn the image. i have the files uploaded to my dropbox.

@thatsashok debian has more packages, better support and runs beautifully. i would second Varkey's suggestion !!

cheapest solution atm is bundling goflex net with a usb hdd. but well setting it up takes patience and diligence. if u willing to spend 7-7.5k then look at the Playon HD too. its priced @8k. I own it for more than a year now and its a great vfm product !!!

well surprisingly so but, utorrent aint built for linux yet. transmission has the mass appeal and the ease of setup. coupled with its web gui, multiple clients for management and low footprint, is what renders it top notch. not to forget the fantastic community support.

@kaushik0105: see the ideal setup is to have an ext3 formatted drive permanently connected to the router. and yeah u can use the goflex just fine. as for the ps3, aint my area of prowess. others here may help u with that. if u can use network to do this then the setup will work awesome. the hdd...
