    Monitors OLED Monitors

It's not too bad because there are multiple reminder alerts on-screen at regular intervals (every 4 hours I guess) and after the final 16-hour limit, it triggers (again after alerting you 30, then 1 minutes beforehand) and the actual process takes 5 minutes. It can be a major nuisance if you...

Review Do people still use Antivirus in 2025? Or just Windows security?

Same here, I used AVG prior to Win10 but not since. BTW, agreed that these AVs and even Defender are not too effective, especially against "zero-day" vulnerabilities or careless user-behaviour - malware simply wins by attacking some weakest link in the chain somewhere.

Air India Ahmedabad-London flight Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashes near airport in Ahmedabad

What could be the cause? A bird strike? Or some other issue like engine malfunction?

Mac OS Apple's "container" tool - WSL-style homebrew killer?

Yeah this is freshly baked nascent tool - long way to go before reaching WSL2 feature-set I guess - but promising as a WSL-like environment for linux app development?

Mac OS Apple's "container" tool - WSL-style homebrew killer?

I think it's a WSL-style (lightweight VMs running the containers, yes seems counter-intuitive) implementation - should be more efficient than docker/podman etc... Article and github etc say it uses an optimised VM with sub-second startup times... kind of like WSL uses Hyper-V mode in Win11 IINM?

Mac OS Apple's "container" tool - WSL-style homebrew killer?

See https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2025/06/apple-linux-container-tool-mac-developers In all the hype about Liquid Glass etc, this new tool being lost in the noise... Has anyone tried this yet by chance? How does it work for running, say, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS image in x86_64 platform? Any feedback?

Your thoughts on Dell Store (India) ...

@PoBoy are you sure the 11th is for "delivery" or "dispatch" ? I've made the mistake many times of mixing up the two, typically such a short time (9th to 11th) it's just the dispatch or shipping date, delivery takes a few more days to reach you?

    The Enshittification of Swiggy

One workaround I used to get a real CC person was choose the "Safety Issue" (Delivery Agent issue) category - I forgot the actual name but something like that - immediately got a real person to chat with, then complained about my issue, which I forgot what it was but would have gotten automated...

    The AMD Ryzen Threadripper mega-thread

. So seems NO non-ECC non-registered regular/cheaper DDR5 UDIMMs for the 9000 series - mentioned around the 10 minute mark onwards. Even AMD's website just mentioned DDR5 ECC-RDIMM 6400mhz support - at least the speed bump is good news. Waiting for ASUS motherboard news update for 9000 series...

Networking Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Max NX

Hi @d5aqoep - This unit is xxx-NS not xxx-NX (as seen in your pics) and the link you provided mentions only 1 LAN is remappable to WAN so total 2 WANs capable, not 4, right? Does anyone have any pointers to where I can get a full in-depth overview/walkthrough of the UI and settings/features...
