My current set of RO filter and membrane is going to celebrate its 5th birthday (last replaced during covid lockdown). Still operational and providing water with tds of 40~60ppm. No issue with output water quality. I'll stick to generic tyvm.

My other room has a superfan since last may. Might be my future goto given its performance so far.

I use a Crompton Silent Pro Enso. Similar problem where it randomly stopped or restarted. The technician replaced the board as it was under warranty (5yrs warranty). Another 3yrs warranty left and I expect atleast one more board change.

Delhi has some good suppliers for RO. I bought my current RO in Delhi from similar assembled seller for 3.5~4k in 2015. It'll be 10years come april.

Given the amount of scaling on all my taps and white deposits all over the buckets I guess there is good amount of dissolved salts in the water being supplied. I'll try to get that kit and test it. How to address it if there is hardness?

would you suggest going for a softener filter for hard water? The domestic water supplied in my apartment is close to 1000tds.

Will always prefer a local non branded one which I can maintain by myself. 4.5years since I last replaced membrane and filter in my current RO. only had to replace sediment filter in the external housing. still does its job, getting good quality water.

For corporation water, just boiling it will suffice to kill any infections in it. RO and purifier would be overkill for it. They add enough chlorine to it anyways.
