HTC wont give impressive performance when it comes to camera. I'd second the N79 or even the N85 I'm currently eyeing the Samsung Galaxy but like you said I don't think it'll cut for you as it is a touchscreen.

You can also try the Philips SHE9800/97 for its excellent soundstage, good bass but rolled off highs. SHE9800/97. Quite durable and I paired with my Nokia 5800XM and FiiO E5. Quite good for the price I paid. I got it from Glassgow computer Brgd Road a year back. Paid around Rs.1980 (approx).
