I agree that i'm still on the ancient stuff.. but there's been a lot of speculation on the battery issues.. and it's been noticed on the 2G when upgraded into the 3.x firmware.. I have issues with cydia too.. i installed winterboard initially.. but now it doesn't install anything else...

finally i got it done.. and on my own.. though i'm still a lil behind.. got my iphone JB and unlocked on 2.2.1... it's works good.. no issues.. but i just don't feel the love.. it hasn't awed me.. with the 2.2.1, i have had issues with Installer : not many sources work.. especially ripDev's...
