The base system which costs $7.7k has a ASUS Rampage Extreme III while the top model costing $17k has a EVGA Classified SR-2 board with twin Xeon processors :D And yes, it is kick ass! Hope I had such money :|

I would still suggest you to go with the above config but get a Athlon II X2 255 and 4GB of DDR2 RAM instead of 2 :).
