AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

Oh no 11k :( I was consoling myself to get the ASUS one after i read abt the ACC thingy from you. But prices prices prices. The board is not that costly in US. It says ~130-150$. Anything new that comes here has the same sick fate. :(

AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

Hmmm you're right impulse1992. I think the ASUS one would be ~>8.5k considering it's features and the Gigabyte version ~8.5k. Now is this pricing correct?

AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

Huh :-? No no jayad08, the Gigabyte is also an ATX board. The MSI 890GXM-E65 is a mATX board. But ya the core unlocking thing is exclusive to the ASUS but again as i said, ASUS boards are always cute :-P Hehe This core unlocking thing is making me think about the ASUS board now. :-| :ashamed...

AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

Oh cool :) which place are you from? Delhi? I'm unable to see your location in the thread. But asus huh :-S i'm a bit scared of buying asus boards coz of its poor after sales support. If anything happens to the mobo by chance, they take a lot of time for rma'ing the board. I've seen hell since i...

So, now its your choice to make salluks. You can check for the reviews of the Gigabyte Combo board i suggested and decide whether you want to stick to it or choose something else. However, there are other boards from MSI with the same DDR2-DDR3 combo platform. But i think some of them have...

The mobo that sumit05 suggested is definitely a better one coz it's a board with ddr3 max 1333mhz support. The board that i adviced you to buy was keeping in mind the 6gb of ddr2 ram you already have. If you're gonna buy ddr3 ram along with sumit's choice then that'll be Good. @sumit05: Just a...

The Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R looks like it'll be the right board for you. Graphics card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5670 1 GB GDDR5 (since you're just like me, don't need high graphics and all, and is a value for money type of card, still you can run most of the games with almost every eye candy turned...

AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

@del_x: Hehe ya that's true but i saw the rate of Gigabyte 890GPA- model to be 8500/- something in some website. So, if someone is buying a new rig, can't we just let them know their options? At least i feel so, i know there will be no future proofing computer hardware no matter how long we...

AMD 890GX Chipset & its lower end counterparts in Hyderabad?

Guys, Why isn't anyone talking about the new 890gx chipset from AMD? I feel it's a bit future proof with added support for AMD X6 processors. Shouldn't we ask the ppl going in for a new rig to wait and go for this one. And one more thing, just an update. Don't know if its known to other...
