PC Peripherals Are vertical mice comfortable?

As an update, the Perixx vertical mouse is extremely comfortable and I now find it painful to use a regular mouse. My right shoulder sometimes hurts after extensive use even when the mouse is on a keyboard tray so this doesn't eleviate shoulder issues and might even add to shoulder issues but...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

Apparently the problem of my computer rebooting (I disabled surge protection in the motherboard and it still rebooted) was because I had a new side fan set to exhaust air instead of intake air. Setting the fan to intake air removed most of the reboots except for a couple in the morning when the...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

@vyral_143 I only knew about Cyber Power UPS after I read your comment in @itspriyank's thread about a new UPS. I might get a simple cyberpower BU1000E-in since I use Reliance Netconnect+ for internet and don't need internet line surge protection. Google doesn't have any results for Cyber Smart...

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

Since you are getting local servicing, go with the OLS1000E. It definitely has internal batteries, the price seems ok and it is a good fit for your apfc PSU.

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

Unless you have a local service provider for iball, APC would be the better choice because they've been making UPS's for a longer time and their specialty is making UPS's. I have an iball cabinet (chosen by shop) and my next cabinet would probably be an Antec because Antec has a better rear...

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

I want to see the plug points on that UPS as I don't want to use new cables for tower, monitor and power strip (my phone charger and beard trimmer are always connected to power strip which inturn is connected to a UPS if I have a UPS available). The rear of the APC Smart UPS use specialized plug...

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

I'm just using a surge protected power strip at the moment. My eyes are on this model of UPS unless I can find a 750VA version for a lower price. I'm not sure my mini/mid tower setup can handle the heat output of a Radeon 390/390X so I only need 600 watts of power input instead of 800 watts...

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

My APC non-pure sinewave UPS lasted 8 years without an identifiable issue and 2 weeks ago in its 9th year, it started causing a brand new motherboard with surge protection to shut down the computer due to voltage fluctuations.

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

The issue was with the UPS (APC Backup RS 1000VA) bought in 2007 along with an AOC 21.5 inch LCD monitor. The monitor started having issues earlier this year and the UPS started causing power surge issues the day before the 2016 Myanmar earthquake. What I need now are suggestions for a good...

PC Peripherals Are vertical mice comfortable?

I haven't done any online multiplayer gaming in ages so I don't need the accuracy of a normal mouse (ping times from US or EU to India don't help). Thanks @vebk for the added information. I've had Microsoft mice buttons double click on the first day of usage. Anker does seem to be a popular...

PC Peripherals Need UPS to handle the system load.

I would (edit: generally) pick an APC 1500VA model since that's what a Radeon 290 and 390 need. The 1000VA can only handle 600 Watts in a system while the 1500VA can handle 865 Watts. These are the specifications of the older APC Back-UPS RS systems which are not pure sinewave. Edit: As @adder...

PC Peripherals Are vertical mice comfortable?

I'm interested in a new computer mouse (my hp started double clicking after a year or two of use). My right shoulder started hurting after I used a mouse on the top of a table while my keyboard and mouse tray was out of commission (the tray is fixed now). My regular computer is a desktop and...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

My Cooler Master GX550 PSU currently sells with a 5 year warranty. The PSU and my former Asus Radeon 9850 were bought at the same time in 2013 for crypto mining. I'll return the computer to the shop and if the warranty applies, they'll send the PSU to the service center for a check up.

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

I'll check if I can get a Corsair RM 550x. I'll avoid the V's and C's from Corsair. I've tried to get couriers to ship electronic items from Kochi and haven't much luck trying to get couriers to accept shipping electronic items. I try to get computer parts that are locally available/serviceable...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

I might replace the PSU with an Antec. The shop that built the desktop and does maintenance on the desktop insists that I buy Cooler Master but I think that Antec is the better brand. Seasonic isn't available in Kerala and Corsair replacements take a bit of time to happen according to the shop...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

@bssunilreddy, the PSU is a 3+ year old Cooler Master GS or GX 550 Watt. PC Specs: Cabinet: iball PSU: Cooler Master GS or GX 550 Watt. Motherboard: New ASUS H61M-K Processor: Intel I3 2100 RAM: 2 x Corsair Value Select 4GB HDD: Seagate 500 GB Graphics Card: ASUS Radeon R9 270X 2GB UPS: APC...

CPU/Mobo Were surge protected motherboards acting up since 12th April 2016 (day before Myanmar Earthquake)?

Copy off my reddit post: I recently replaced my desktop computer's motherboard to run an ASUS R9 270X graphics card and the new motherboard came with inbuilt surge protection. On the 12th of April (day before Myanmar earthquake) at around 7:30 PM, the motherboard halted the computer and it said...

Graphic Cards Can I store an ASUS AMD 7850 in a cabiner without the power connector

I gave the card in for replacement last night. I don't really game anymore, the card was bought for crypto mining.
