With serial number hidden too much, how can I ensure all crystaldiskinfo screenshot doesn’t belong to the same drive?

Can you do a speed test of any of the drives once?
I saw reviews in YouTube and they are showing 7000 read / 6600 write. Very good speed indeed inspite of being DRAM less drives.

Not possible to share speed testing info now, for that will have to plug the drive inside the PC in order to get it’s full speeds.
Testbench has got B450 boards, which are Gen3 based, hence won’t go beyond 3600MB/s for speed test.
Crystal info would be shared by putting the drive in an NVME enclosure.

Thanks

It was launched with TLC and then they pulled a switcheroo to QLC. Generally doesn’t make sense to go for QLC if price is around TLC. They also switched the controller and NAND provider at different points.

This is usually the problem with the lesser brands.

So the drive for sale is QLC and not TLC?

Seems Tom’s hardware encountered the same issue. It becomes a lottery with these brands as they don’t change the model number but switch nearly all the basic components after initial reviews, usually for cheaper ones. Older is better in these cases.

no the ones on sell are TLC,
only the 4TB version of this model are QLC,

4tb variant is seen to come with QLC, can’t be sure with 2tb one. This could be maxio controller with ymtc 232L nand flash (seeing the firmware version). To be sure you can check the part number on the Nand flash under the sticker or use maxio flash ID tool from this site:

http://vlo.name:3000/ssdtool/

That’s not true, it has been flagged as such. It is basically the same as most of the lesser known Chinese brands, just rebranded.

they are.
as per techpowerup database.

Only the 4 TB variant is QLC for the most part, AFAIK. Could be a roll of the dice, though.

red the QLC one, GREEN the multiple variants,

Only problem is the YMTC 232-layer flash is available as 1Tb variants, so nothing stopping them from being used in lower capacity variants, although that is unlikely for the ones being sold here.
