The Motherboard manual says if i use 3 DIMMS of my motherboard then the Max memory Speed will be 333. Is there anyway to bypass this?
Its not the motherboard issue.
ITs the A64 issue. It happens for S939 winchester CPUs too. If all 4 sockets of RAM are filled it reverts to DDR333 speeds.
And its not the slots but no of RAM chips used that makes this happen.
The only solution for this is to use single sided RAM and then manually force DDR400.
That worked for winchesters. It should work for S754 too.
Newer venice and SD should not have this problem as they have new memory controller which was supposed to address these issues.
well if i use 2 SS ram and 1 DS Ram will i be able to do DDR400?
i cant confirm.
All i tried is all single sided DIMMs.
KK to the rescue. Check this out (for gigabyte, but it applies to all 754 mobos actually):

I believe in some mobos a bios fix can get around the problem, at least that is the case for some gigabyte nf3 250 based products
well, with all 3 DIMMs filled it dosent do DDR400 @ 1T.
The best result are with s1 and s3 filled.
Memory controller on the older 754 pin & 939 is the reason.Try SS Ram.
