32 inch 4k productivity and gaming monitor in 2025 - 2026

My ViewSonic 32inch monitor is somewhat dead. half screen. is dark and content is hard to observe. sometime fixes itself. Now the issue is its max 75hz. My primary is already a LG 27inch 2k 144hz monitor. both are being used on Mac and windows. LG one is really bad with color reproduction if related to work. I almost have to drag the work UI to confirm color accuracy on my 32 inch monitor.

So working or monitor is normally one for 12 to 14 hrs daily. I might not be using it but it’s on.
My plan is to make new 32inch 4k my primary monitor and the 27inch one secondary one. what options do I have here?

mentioned working hrs for the burning in issue with oled. ips don’t give true darks.

  1. productivity work is (coding+ui +video editing)

  2. Gaming is Valorant, CS 2, and anything else in gaming.

no one in same dilemma :smiling_face_with_tear:

The OLED Burn-In Test: 18-Month Update | TechSpot https://share.google/GRaL6z1qjVyuky6rO
I guess OLED burn-in is a thing of the past. Unless you have something static (like the taskbar)
It’s not a problem. And also, monitors have pixel refresh/cleaning or whatever it’s called for burn-ins. So your best upgrade must be OLED.Can see mini LED monitor as other option.
If your work is something really static in nature then I won’t recommend this. But if you do might as well use this.

Has I said, coding and that to around 10 to 12 hours daily. so confused on what to do.

any coder use oled monitors as a daily drivers

I am in the same position but AFAIK OLED is still not ready for long hours of productivity use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whuHuM9h88M

Mini LED may be better but for now I will just stick to IPS until OLED becomes cheap enough that replacing it every few years can be justified.

do we have 32 inch 4k high refresh rate ips monitors?

I don’t game a lot so I am happy with 60hz basic IPS. Only OLED gives you best of both worlds , until then you either have to choose a gaming monitor or productivity monitor.

the pain! color reproduction is also a big part of my life at some extend. so confused :frowning:

Not recomnended. As far as color goes, you can look at calibrated options like Asus Proart. I personally have not used them though.

Edit : Short of professional calibration equipment one can do some of it using settings -

Yes, we do.

I am using it, but take a lot of precautions and dont have space for 2 monitors. Worst case if it burns badly, i will buy a new one but hoping for 5+years. We have 3 years warranty.

Best case i think is to code on IPS and play on oled, since you plan to have two monitors. This was my ideal but i dont have space.

32 4k oled is beautiful, but you can also go with 1440p 27 oleds which are much cheaper and faster.

Another alternative is a miniled but it does have pros and cons that you should check first.

mini led 32inch available ? as much as I can see, its 27 inch!

why are we still not primary Market for this companies, I wonder!

Samsung neo g7 was an option when i was looking, around 70k but ideally it should be priced lower now as there is oled competition.

It still seems to be in same area, i would rather have IPS 4k 32 + oled 27 anyway. oled 27 are in 50s and they have been falling.

I think 27 inch 4k would be too much from text clarity. that’s why I was looking for a 32 inch one.

i meant 27 oled 1440p to play games and 4k 32 ips for work. Also neo g7 is 32 4k

27 1440p oleds are much cheaper vs 32 4k oleds + faster panels + will be easier to run. ( but 32 4k is quite nice )

Else i guess 32 4k oled + 1440 27 ips should be a great combo too. If neither is appealing, then look at minileds.

Also note - oleds will look best in darker rooms ( for games ). If you prefer bright room, then check for reviews and maybe consider miniled.

I use 32 4k oled only, my ideal combo is probably 32 4k oled for games/media and 1440p ips/miniled for work.
