Might be useful for servers.

Just found a page on this PSU …

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_166&products_id=2881&osCsid=1ed64f0f0bfbcbeea9017b7d6a5c4db5

Price mentioned is $489.95 …

EDIT: It just struck me that if this PSU was sold here it would be priced about 25,000/- to 30,000/- !!! OH WOW !!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Found this users comments on this PSU - very good information with pictures of the insides of PSU. Worth a read.

Hey, this is pure bliss!

Thought soooo…
Cant imagine people blowing 30k on a PSU only
Still if you ask me its simply an overpriced tank. Not needed for any desktop or even most servers dont need this.

Great thread here really worth a read

Wud be useful if you run a dual opteron with dual quadros or something. Or when overclocking with LN2 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: . Not for the mere mortals like us :face_with_tongue: .

LN2 models have an external power connector, its more of a home brewed one as LN2 is not sold commercialy AFAIK

i think what chaos ment was when you are doing extreme ocing with voltmods, special cooling and stuff where having a good PSU matters.
If you are geek enough to go LN2 you are already rich enough to get this PSU
I shall have this one day :face_with_tongue:
Till then Antec SP it is :face_with_tongue:

Yup what funky suggested is what i meant. There’s no way the actual LN2 cooling system would work with a computer psu :). When oc’ing u need ur psu to remain stable even with extremely high power draw. Most typical PSUs fail at that and this psu excels. PCP&C is the preferred psu for most overclockers worldwide.
