All things SFF

I can’t open my PC, but the length and width wise, they should fit inside the case, how will you power them?

However, I think they would not help much, as in they will only cool one side of the board and not the other.

I had a spare fan header on the motherboard.

Yup, the other side of the motherboard is totally cornered off with no ventilation at all. Anyway the fans will increase the circulation of air inside and these don’t cost much, 2 fans will cost 600 rupees, worth a try IMO.

Please experiment and let me know
I plan to use Thermal take Carbonaut thermal pad so I don’t have to repaste as often -

is it worth the price, or are there cheaper/better alternatives?
I also have a tube of MX-4 but its 2 years old at this point

I don’t have it now otherwise I would have done it.

How is the performance on these? It is pretty costly.

I dont think anything would have happened to it if it was stored with the cap closed.

Similar to thermal paste, but last much longer with minimal drop in performance.

Now I’m looking at PTM7950 from Linus video, anyone used it here? I think it would be perfect for SFF PCs, as you’d not have to reapply as often.

2yrs old, won’t have any issue. I use nt-h1 it’s 3+ yrs old and still works perfect.

Just finished putting together my first ever SFF build using a CH160 case. The most fun and at times, frustrating build.

Still need to work on cable management and installing fans.

I ended up getting MSI B650i Edge. A May 2024 manufacturered board with latest BIOS update. It’s been stable so far.

Did you end up using the thermal pads from thermal take? I’m confused whether to buy this or use the cryofuse violet thermal paste that I have.

just a noob question, are you all guys using this so called SFF purly for gaming or other use too?

Can normal users use it like Dektop PC?

obviously bro you can. SFF is just the form factor, Small Form Factor, denoting the size of pc. So, it is indeed a normal PC just a smaller version

I ended up using normal thermal paste, with the travel and work I couldn’t buy them. Maybe this year I’ll buy and keep them lol.

Please do send me one of your PC plant offspring, I will really appreciate it.

And it better bear one with 7950x3d and 4090.

Looks like the perfect size- better stop watering now before it grows into mATX

Hello, what are my options for m-atx+mesh+type-c(ap201&A3 are too big).
i wanted something like z20.

You can fit some mATX boards in the NR200. @@tenego fit an mATX board with an ATX PSU in his. The Ncase M2 is another (more expensive) option with a myriad of configuration options. I tried to order one, but they aren’t shipping to India for some reason.

i need type-c, like im01-pro or z20

Because it ships from china i think.

very hard to get then. if you plan to get nr200, there is a mod using a small 3d printed part to fit a type c port. same can be done with sama im01 (and it’s clones) as well

I have a zebronics case (sama clone), needed a usb type c port on it.
Ended up buying [This](’

Amazon.in

).
It works well with my type c ssd, speeds are comparable to native type c port on laptop but maybe a bootleneck if u want to use a nvme ssd.
