Using this monitor too, bought at same price. Might get a bit cheaper with card discounts soon, but with the risk of being out of stock. Often it does not come back quickly. I had missed it in Diwali sale last year while waiting a bit trying to decide.
Probably the best value 1440p, i bought this recently - happy with it and thankfully my unit had no flaws other than the usual ips glow. Software control is nice too.

Is it G sync compatible?
Yes. Most nvidia GPUs now support GSync on Freesync compatible monitor (10 series and later)

Yes it works, but using display port cable only. Monitor also has a FPS indicator toggle which can be turned on to verify that gsync running in sync ( once nvidia configuration is done).
Initially i got no signal on display port on boot, thought monitor was bad. But it turned out it was a bug in Nvidia 3000 series, and it got fixed by a gpu firmware update.
