Waiting for 4tb prices to drop.

4/8 tb prices have dropped in usa.
Got this [Gadget Wagon 22āā to 35āā Monitor Desk Arm Gas Spring Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor 2kg to 12kg | H100](ā
Amazon.inā
) @ 3.5k, a couple of weeks ago after using Tukzer arm and realized I needed frequent height adjustment as well. Seems to be good for the price, holds up my 32" monitor without drama. Only thing missing is a quick release VESA plate like the Tukzer, but you can āhookā the monitor to the top 2 screws and then screw in the bottom ones, so better than the AmazonBasics mount for sure
I am waiting for amazon sale to get the 1 rupee discount.
It shows SBI card discount only with EMI
Is that so ?
Yes only emi txn eligible for 10% instant discount in this offer.
And even there the 4TB ssd still cost almost twice of a 4TB hdd so going by that logic I donāt see 4TB ssd from established manufacturers going below 15-16k here under best circumstances.
Maybe these prices wonāt go down moreā¦even in usaā¦they seem to be saturated almost.
BBD/GIS sale next month should be the last chance/lowest price to get ssd but yes ssd price drop trend is going to reverse by the end of this year as per latest business reports.
Anyone have any idea about tentative dates of BBD sale this year?

@@chetansha I have this and EVM 2tb SSD in Wishlist, usually the EVM shows lower price. EVM has 5 years warranty, performance was both are same? Please suggest.
Donāt go with evm unless its data you donāt care much about like games or just want to use as temp storage.
Better to call it big billion sale⦠bbd seems weird.
Evm ssd is TLC
Silicon power ssd are SLC.
I guess slc is better than tlc
Thanks. I was about to order it. Btw do you know if Synology allows to use SSD + HDD together? I searched but couldn`t get definite answer. My requirement is primarily faster access and secondary data security
I donāt think the SP SSDs are SLC. They are way too cheap to be SLC. Probably has some small SLC cache and rest NAND is TLC/QLC thatās all.
Edit: It is DRAM-less QLC SSD with SLC cache, in same tier as the Crucial BX500.
Thanks for pitching in but DRAM cache closest will be MX500 right? Nothing is this budget?
It oh yes slc cache
None of the consumer SSDs youāll find in the market in general are SLC. Theyāre either TLC or QLC. They may have some SLC cache since SLC is much faster than TLC.
SLC SSDs would be way too expensive for general consumers. Hereās a random website (not sure if itās genuine or not) with a listing. ā¹35,000+ for 256 GB
