AMD CEO says enterprise remains the focus amid PC market uncertainty

AMD CEO Lisa Su has said that the company’s primary focus will remain on enterprise and higher-end segments, even as the broader PC/client market faces uncertainty and potential contraction.

In an interview, Su acknowledged softer PC demand but emphasized that AMD is prioritising enterprise, data center, and premium products, where growth and margins are stronger. Client CPUs are not being abandoned, but they are not the main growth driver compared to enterprise workloads and servers.

This reflects a wider industry trend where AI, data centers, and enterprise computing are drawing more investment than mainstream consumer PCs.

Do you think AMD’s enterprise focus will help it weather a weak PC market, or does this leave consumers and gamers sidelined?

Nvidia became most valuable company, no wonder amd too wants to ditch gamers and chase that AI money.
Would be interesting when the whole thing pops.

The bubble isn’t popping for atleast a few more years, it’s pretty stupid to hold off on that revenue just because it’s going to stop someday (though AMD has been known to make plenty of stupid decisions).
