Antec SLK3700BQE Vs VIP ZB01 Server Cabby

Hi Guys wanted ur Advice in deciding me which cabby will keep my sys cooler and perform better.

Antec SLK 3700BQE

  • Was my first choice
  • Extra money wasted on 350W SPower PSU , want 450W SPower PSU
  • Nice Front & Rear 120mm fans
  • No Mobo Tray.
  • No Transparent Side panel
  • Whats the cost [heard 5050]

VIP ZB01 Server Cabby

  • Bigger than 3700BQE
  • Front & Rear 120mm , 2 Side 80mm fans
  • Switch said has Mobo Tray
  • Masky ZB01 shows transparent side panel , does it have a transparent side panel ?
  • does it have front usb ports.
  • Whats the cost [heard 4300]
    Will these 2 cabbies be able to house A8N-E with StarIce Cooler or XP90
    I dont want looks but a better cooling & perf.

Plz suggest between these 2 cabbies.
or some other gr8 cabby my budget is max 5K.

Switch told me about Stacker but its beyond my budget.

For 5K, you could be able to squueze in an Antec PlusView 1000 AMG. It has space for 5 120mm fans. And comes with a side panel. And performs beautifully. I wanted this but ran out of cash(or rather my dad put his foot down… :face_with_tongue: :tongue:)

  1. masky’s sidepanel was modded so that it was transparent :wink:

  2. It has top USB ports :confused: there is a chimney fan and a handle at the top. there are USB, audio as well as firewire ports :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

AFAIK the cooler is concerned, even the Thermaltake Tower112 will fit inside my normal cabinet :face_with_tongue: so its 100% sure that it’ll fit inside the ZB-01

It looks verrry good to me ( atleast IMHO :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )

Overall, the VIP ZB-01 is the clear winner :slight_smile:

Are u sure abt Antec PlusView 1000 AMG for 5K.Does it have a removable mobo tray.

Sunny MAsky had a Zebronics not VIP.

The plusview is around 5.5K I believe. Does the vip case come with fans? I don’t think so. Else you’d have to buy cooling fans as well. 120mm ones are expensive. The antec comes with one. You’d need to buy an intake. The antec also has 90 degree rotated hard drives. Upto you what u’d want to buy.

VIP come with one 120mm rear fan it seems from the pic , but not contacted them and asked

get the zb01…faaaaar better than the antec…it comes with 2 120mm fans…first thing to do when u get the cabby is chuck those fans in the dustbin…

the antec plusview 1000amg does not come with 5 x 120mm fans. the cabinet has only 80mm fans unless a new version is released.

2 x 80 mm rear fans u get with the cabinet. rest u gotta buy for the sidepanel & 1 front.

it does not have removable mobo tray & the hdd are not at a 90deg angle. they are normally put. u can check the cabinet on antec.com.

u should get it for 5k.

I meant the 3700BQE. That has 1x 120mm in front and rear and rotated hdd cage.

also quad if your budget is so much. i think u should check the xclio mid tower case. it looks good. & the design is exactly like the antec p160 which is great. it only doesnt have a removable mobo tray. gaurav aka ragin_ice has the case. u can ask him how it is & it costs around 3700rs with 400w psu. so u save 1300rs. u can sell the 400w psu & get a antec psu for the remaining money.

both are technically same..even the dimensions, the designs, etc etc…maybe the ZB01 doesnt have the chimney :confused:

i personally wouldnt bother…when have you used the front audio and USB ports? i use a 3m USB extension cable, one end conected to the mobo, the oher end on the table…my cabby has those USB and audio ports…but never used them :slight_smile:

The front USB ports on my cabby do not work properly at all… SO, I do not use them.

Anyway… we are going OT. And this problem is not such a big one. It is cheap Mercury cabinet anyway…

Go for the Antec Quad. Infact it was you who convinced me to change from Lanboy to 3700AMB. The finish and overall quality is unbeatable by any other Indian case. Plus you get huge bragging rights with Antec. Go for the Plusview if available or stretch your budget by 500 bucks !

My cabinet is of Zebronics make.. and it has a chimney fan too. the Design is same as the VIP ZB-01 except for the chimney fan.. One thing though, it is very very heavy :frowning:

funky was selling his WaveMaster for around 5k.. worth it if u ask me.. mobo-tray alone is a a big plus .. u’ve seen how much of help a mobo tray is for clearing up the wire-mess..
