i have an acrylic side pannel, but that damn rat went inside the front pannel and was hiding there and nights, u used to hear a cratle cratle noise, thought it was my HDD about to die, later did i realise where that noise actually came from, lol
Maybe the ants and rats are also into Gaming and wanted to try their hands on your keyboard !!!

Antz usually luk for a place thts cool and dark and comfy in the end ! So a keyboard is perfect ! Ant powder no gud ? THen i guess u cud try keepin the KB near sunlite but not directly or tr som method of warmin up and not heatin cuz u cud damage ur KB…
Antz attacked my external cable modem last weeek…and i just left it on for a whole day…and they havent returned yet ! Hop they dont !
during the rainy season an army of black ants attacked my monitor.. my monitor went flicker-crazy.. a nice spray outta Raid was all that was needed.. sprayed a little on the inside of the monitor too (thru the holes on the back..).. most ants died..
Juz get it warm buddy…Only warm and not hot ! dont melt it …
A bit warmness even near the cpu is gud..Antz like cold and darkl places !

Sun is wat i advised too…but direct sunlight can be dangerous…its bad for us so the poor KB wont last…maybe a sunscreen lotion will help…lol
well on the back of the keyboard there are more than 10 screws. I removed them all. and tried pulling out the backcover or backplate what ever u say it. one side was coming out but the other was stuck as if there were more screws holding it. i thought it might be sealed or something so left it.
check under the sticker on the underside of the keyboard.
there is usually one screw under it.
also watch out for any self locking platic pins / locks on the edges.
Once a Lizard had made my Monitor TOP its home , i wasnt able to do anything on my comp.
Whenver i removed her from the monitor after a few minutes i found her again on top of my monitor.
Luckily the next day Pest Control ppl came to our bldg and they took good care of here.

yuck…once a lizard fell on my sis’s hands…lol…she ran screeeaaaaming…hahaha..then scrubbed her hands for 15-20 mins with soap and a clothes washing brush

A quick look under the keyboard shows that the Model no is : KB-9910.
