^ nopes. i dont think there’s any software that does such a thing as counting dead pixels. you can use a solid colour like white, neutral grey (rgb =128,128,128) or green for background and the white/black dead pixels would stand out. hot pixels can be seen in any colour afaik.
Awesome 6pack sad about the gaming bit looking at this and the 2312UM but as you said DP is a problem, as of now i cant imagine anything more VFM in terms of IPS.
Do try the leaked 48FPS hobbit trailer if you have enough time/speed. It weirds out my current monitor “S2330MX” because of some reason and i can game fine even if its 60-80FPS…
its in stereo 3d. whats the actual fps on it while playing in mediaplayer?
even I wanted to buy a decent IPS monitor of 23" but not worth the price seems so.
we just have this Aoc one and the dell U2312. Plus both are not available online either like on flipkart 
I just wanted to get the LG 225V even though it is 22" it was for around 10K and seemed pretty good …plus all the connections it had with it too.
what sucks even more is that even though these manufactures call these monitors 22" its is not it is actually 21.5 and other 23 is actually 22.5 really a bad marketing trick.
Really need a IPS monitor in 23" guys suggest yar…
Asus has also launched their models and they are available for 17k for 23" lolz

How is the monitor for gaming? People are telling me to avoid because of poor 15ms response time. I use normal 1366x768 laptop screen to game its fine for me. So, should I buy it or leave it?

because of this awesome review i bought this monitor serving me for last 7 years, however it developed a blue line few days back after my maid cleaned it with colin and then i opepened it my self and it reused to turn. I have given for repair now. PLease help me get same or much better option than this. ty i currently have LG 24MK600M but it has strong grey tint and makes blueray not look good. I on win7. AMd: radeon r7 200 graphic card
depends on your budget and screen size. just don’t buy blindly. if possible go to a shop and see how the screen is. most ips have screen bleeding issues in dark scenes. you can buy a ips led tv too. they are like monitors but have more lag.

this is just 250cd brightness. ideally for bluray or other hdr video, try to get some ips or ah-ips panel with 300cd or more brightness value.
i suggest you to ask the mods to shift your query to the pc peripherals section.
