Fedex courier is great, you should get it in 3-4 days time. But through Fedex, you will most likely charged duty for it. I guess its 28% and they charge another Rs 300 as their handling charge.

I thought that the custom duty would be 2% which they normally charge on cellphones but 28% on an iem? I think I would have think again about importing iem using fedex… I have been thinking of importing this iem using fedex courier service cause I thought that I would get the iem a bit early by spending 14$ more as compared to how much time airmail would take to deliver the iem but the custom duty and additional rs 300 handling charge has really turned me off…

Do note that you are still in the customs lottery via airmail. Just that Fedex makes it a sure 100% jackpot .

On the Hong Kong Post Tracking page there is a drop down menu which will link you to the relevant postal tracking pages of other countries postal system.
If your countries postal site is not listed there as having online tracking capabilities for registered airmail, then you may not be able to track online the status of your parcel after it leaves Hong Kong. Please do not worry if this is the case, your parcel will still be delivered without issue.

So, why not you pay with PayPal and pay extra for shipping which opted on the checkout that you will receive within 10-12 days.

As far as I remember, yes. Once it had crossed over HongKong border, I was able to track it on the Indian side. I can’t remember exactly which site I had used (definitely one of the Indian Post’s subsidiaries); I think it was either “Speed Post” or “EMS”.
After the border crossing, it did take 3-4 days to show up on the Indian site. Then it was stuck in same state for ~2 weeks; I think awaiting customs clearance at Kolkatta. It then got updated as arriving to my city, and the next day I received the package.
As mentioned earlier, the tracking while available, its not too good.
