*Call of Duty 3 delivers the intensity of being closer than ever to the fury of combat during the Normandy Breakout, the historic campaign that made the liberation of Paris possible and brought the Allies a step closer to Berlin. Through a seamless narrative that delivers the rush of unrelenting battle and breathtaking action, players assume the roles of four ordinary Allied soldiersâ€â€American, British, Canadian and Polishâ€â€and are thrust onto an authentic, living battlefield for an unprecedented variety of combat, with advanced high-definition graphics, detailed character animations and explosive on-screen action, delivering the most immersive and cinematically intense war experience ever. *
**KEY FEATURES: **
I wish they also included a storyline
, it increases the immersion. Like Medal of Honor : Pacific Assault, though it was linear and repetative in the jungles i liked the way the story was told and kept me going.
.
I am sure MOH:Airborne will have a nice story line, probably copy it from Band of Brothers ![]()
akS !
Yeah , combine MOH’s Storyline with call of duty’s Gameplay and u get an ass-Kicking game
!
Dammm .. and i think the only pc to run this game would be a one based on K8L ..
… hope i get atleaast 20 fps at medium settings …
Looks good, textures could have been a wiiii bit better, but still looks good.
Graphics
The graphics in CoD3 were simply stunning.

Gameplay
The gameplay in CoD3 is very much like its predecessors. You play as a soldier in one of four armies. Traditionally, those armies have been the Americans, British, Russians and Germans. Today, you’re a part of either the American, British, Polish or Canadian armies fighting battles to push the Germans back after D-Day.
The Heads-Up Display has been redesigned a little to further enhance the visual experience. The only thing on the HUD during normal gameplay is the traditional compass showing friend, foe and objectives. When you pull the trigger, you see your ammo count down, but that disappears soon after you stop firing.
Another great gameplay feature is the fully destructible environments. When you shoot at enemy cover, you will destroy it, causing them to seek out alternative arrangements. When you blow something up—it’s gone. You won’t come back later to find it. One thing I found disappointing is that no matter how many times you shoot through a house wall or wooden boxes, your bullets won’t find their way to the enemy. That, I find, takes away from some of the realism. I know it’s impossible to hide behind empty wooden crates and not get hit by a bullet in real-life, so why you can’t do it in such a realistic game is beyond me.
hmm the gfx dont look any better than COD2. although that did have very nice graphics, this doesn’t seem like anything new.
game should still be great like cod2.
any idea about the release date?
Consoles only and should be out by the first week of Nov.
Nothing too special about it…
Not very impressive beside the high res. textures … there is supposed to be a pc port too .. lets see . nothing the current gen hardware can’t handle …
so will u be happy with games tht current gen cant handle? sheesh atleast look at kids like me..
Unlikely man Call of Duty spin-offs made by Treyarch are generally limited to consoles i.e. Cod 2 Big red. The ones made by Infinity ward are exclusive to the PC. However if you have a news article saying that it’ll be ported to PC, i’d be happy if you point me to it. ![]()
Check out the ingame video footage here TechEnclave looks great ![]()
No No, COD3 will come for PC. I have seen the DEMO of COD3 for PC. I don’t download DEMOs/BETAs.
Got the NEWS from GameSpy news-letter. But I deleted the mail ![]()
But, it is also written that it will come much much later ![]()
Activision is such a ‘baiman’ that they are even bringing PS3 verison which doesn’t exists. But still not for PC who gave such a high respect to COD1, COD1+U, COD2 etc.
Call of Duty 3 Ships Out
So all of you who plunked down the big 800 MS points last week to buy the “Valor” map pack for Call of Duty 3 and then got a nice present when you tried playing them, you can feel a bit better now. The broken map pack is now unbroken and works fine. A week later, along with a small patch for Call of Duty 3 itself, you can now play the 5 new maps in the pack. And yes, the free map made available about 2 weeks ago works with the map pack, so everyone is happy. While some are calling for refunds on the MS point, I think most would agree they just wanted the maps to work. Now they do. I picked them up earlier today and I must say, they are very nice. Here is what Axis0f3vil on the Xbox forums had to say about the new release of the map pack:
*Hi Call of Duty 3 fans:
Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve the issue surrounding the Valor map pack. We are happy to announce that we have resolved it, and that the map pack is now fully available for download over Xbox Live Marketplace. We have also released a Title Update which, in addition to addressing the map pack, also remedies key issues regarding Ranked Lobbies and Ranked Matches that some users have experienced.
If you downloaded the Map Pack on January 18, please download the new Title Update which resolves these issues. If for any reason you deleted the Valor Map Pack after your purchase, you are entitled to re-download it without charge.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and look forward to playing you in the new maps!
– Call of Duty team*
So go forth my allied brothers, go forth, download (or redownload as it were) the maps and go kill people! Just a reminder, there are five (5) maps included in the pack, and the pack is about 850 megs in size.

Hey hi! Not a bit too late to bump this thread I know. ![]()
Since this title came out only for the consoles, I thought of giving this a shot and seems like this brings back the good ol’ memories of the first few titles of COD when they were set during the events of WW II. The Colts, Thompsons, MP40s, Springfields, mortars - damn those were the beginnings.
Anyways off to the game. ![]()
Lemme know if its still enjoyable in 2011 as me along with most pc gamers have missed this title.
BTW 4 year bump? ![]()
