Supposedly some 6600 card manufacturers are disabling the temperature sensor to discourage overclocking, but it looks like you can still enable it anyways…

This wont be of much use for newbie’s its not that easy.
Yes, it would be a little too much for a casual guy who goes glassy eyed when you mention BIOS update, flash it, hex editor, etc.
But then, at some time one has to get one’s feet wet, right?
umm yes but if you dont follow instructions & screw up somewhere in the hex editor and you could lose your card.
Never the less its still worth trying
