tbh, if you’re an average civilian, its best to not care much about politics if at all unless its something funny.
You’re right, only monitor politics as part of world affairs which can influence stock market.
That’s not a good advice, you should care about politics at least in areas where it directly affects your life like not voting for a party you seriously doubt will be able to maintain current decent/good law & order situation etc.
Stock market has negligible impact on middle class daily life in India & the top rich class is quite insulated from policy impacts anyway globally as well as domestically.
I was hoping to encounter some intellectually curious people on this thread, but I’m throughly dissapointed by some of you folk and how you laugh at a grieving widow like this.

Middle class as per Indian economists and ‘common man’ are different. Middle class are increasingly flocking to stock market.
I don’t understand the thread closing mentality, what’s the point? What are you trying preserve or prevent?
I say it let it stay open, people involved get to flex their brain muscles, observers have more reasons to make popcorn, advertisers get more revenue.
I didn’t contest that. What I said was “Stock market has negligible impact on middle class daily life in India” unless you count a minority of people posting screenshots of a few lakhs unrealized gains in their stock market app on social media as “life changing”. Even if someone has 50 lakh unrealized gains in their stock market app they still have to travel on the same roads on which around 450 people die everyday in India & they still have to live with same air/water they were getting before starting investing in stock market.
I did not start the thread for WWE entrance jokes and conspiracy theory dating rumor jokes about a grieving widow and mother, please stop talking everyone. I understand having a difference in political opinion but this is not a daily memes thread, this sort of humor is not appreciated here, nor is it considered funny.
Fully agree with you, but one also have to be conscious that we live in a society and what we see is a microcosm of the decadence in the same.
My comments overwhelmingly supported free speech, CK’s work towards the same and the violent intolerance of the self claimed tolerant. Still stand with those comments.

There’s a widow, yes. There’s millions of them. In fact, there are thousands of new ones every day.
Some of them grieve, not all.
Others captialize on their husband’s death.
What would you want your wife to do after your death?

I’m not here to argue, if his widow is actually doing questionable things after his death, I’m sure she deserves to, and will be criticized for the same. But there exist more civilized methods to do exactly that, I will not consider low effort humor in bad taste while trying too hard to be funny, as being an acceptable response on a thread about intellectual debate on any topic of curiosity. Like i said, this is not a memes thread so i expect you all to act more civilized about the conversation at hand. So please everyone stop talking for the love of God and let the mods close the thread. I’m done.
