Hello everyone, I’m looking to get a color printer for printing large number of b/w text pages every week and the occasional personal photographs. I’m not really concerned with the economy of the printer since I can show it as an expense. I’ve already narrowed down this brother printer. Thanks
My inkjets have almost always been a headache. My usage pattern was same as yours.
I’d recommend getting a low cost toner b/w laser option from Brother and getting colour prints from cyber cafe or whatever’s is the right term for it.

Only get inktank if you print regularly. I got one hp inkjet printer way back and didn’t use it for like 3-4 months and ink nozzle got dried out. And it became complete waste of money for me. Now sitting useless. Else
Yup went ahead and bought the brother printer.
I’m gonna be needing color prints fairly regularly so b/w printer isn’t really an option for me. I have a brother b/w laser at work and it really is a workhorse.
Ink tank printers are the best. I bough Brother ink tank 3-4 years ago and I am very happy with it (except occasional network issue).
I had HP ink jet before this, and every-time I needed to print something I would get panic attack. Those are the shittiest printers in the market.
