But i do feel that its needed while cooling.
Try Artic Cooling NV5 Silencer its a gr8 VGA Cooler while overclocking

What are the case and CPU temperatures ?
well i have not tried it yet but was planning on it waiting for the warranty on my card to get over 
Would it not be better to try it within the warranty period in case the card gets a problem you could TRY get it replaced
