It’s a 2 tb external drive. When connecting to laptop or PC.
Drive letter appears, but gives fatal error after clicking on same.
Tried connecting to laptop and PC same error. Dont have a seperate case/cable to test.
Kandivali based HDD recovery guy gave quote of appx 15000 to 20000 (after checking).
Can someone suggest data recovery in Thane (near Korum Mall)
Check if drive is spinning and gets detected in my computer if yes than following are your options
remove the case and its normal internal drive, connect it to a normal desktop and give it a try, use Linux os and there is a chance that you will be able to view it .
If no progress than buy 2tb drive or larger and put both of them in a same computer .Use a tool test disk
there go for the option of create image of your existing drive onto new drive .And it will create exact copy very slowly may take around one or two days minimum.
once done
you will have an image file of 2 tb on your new HDD
Use OSFMount to mount the image ,post mounting when you try to access that drive .A dialog box may Popup saying disk has some errors or something ,Run error check and it will fix it and you will be able to access the data .
