DELL 2407WFP WUXGA LCD A02 Review [56k warning!!]

@vandal
I found out a friend of a friend who works in dell…
She says Dell people check on their employees who purchased products using empl scheme to prevent them from misusing the schemes..Some checkup in 3 months time or something:huh: …found it hard to believe…She also mentioned that prices have fallen a touch below 40k + tax+wax wat not… Il be getting the best non empl pricing by tommorow hopefully…

:blush: Yeah man! What a great feeling changing from a 17" to this. It’s exactly what happened to me too! PIP works good, a little complicated when it comes to changing the primary display on PBP though… But what the hell right?!!

good review.. but how much is the response time ?? 4ms ?

BUT… please forgive my ignorance; I don’t know much about monitors. check these pics out & tell me if this is normal. First pic shows a stationary window, second one a moving window; observe the greenish sh!t that is left behind when I move the window. is this normal? Could it be the video card (GeForce FX 6800 XT)? Driver problem? :huh: And it’s not my crappy camera.:hap5:

That doesn’t happen with mine… but i’ve read on other forums that lowering the brightness helps with that, what brightness you using?

I’m using 30 brightness. This did not seem to happen at first, and it does not happen in games.

does it happen when you scroll webpages (lil fast) also?

yes, it happens with every window, every resolution. I tried reinstalling my graphics drivers an the problem persists. Crappy monitor?:huh:

man…really an awesome display…but 43 grand..too much…according to me…never knew..DELL was so expensive !!

have fun..congo on tht superb buy..

@faheem

Thats a 24" WS ultrasharp MVA panel…43k is the min…No other model comes close price/perf wise…

@pichingo

Could be a graphics card issue right…Dont think any1 can do much here…Try using a friends card n check else pack it back to Dell…Simple…wow Iam a genius…

Lots of 2407 users have had the ‘green trail’ thing and most of them were resolved by brightness and gamma corrections, try reducing the brightness even further to say..25.

What kinda solution is that…
Send it back…
