Desktop blowing out Fuse - PSU recommendation 450w

One desktop in house is causing extension board fuse to blow. I am guessing its power supply (CX450 i think) has failed.

Desktop has 3300x + 5600xt running at 100w Power limit. Its used for basic desktop usage.

Ill try to verify PSU failure if i can, but since these are supposed to have short circuit protection, fuse blowing seems to indicate PSU failure.

How is this one ? Cooler Master MWE 450 Bronze V2 Power Supply - Non-Modular | 80 Plus Bronze Certified.

This along with Deepcool PK450D, have been working well for me.

Psu actually blows fuse even without load just on switching it on. First time seeing that.

Anyway, I was looking at MSI A550BN instead as its better for slightly more. Also came across this - COOLER MASTER MWE 550 V3 550W 80 Plus Bronze. It seems to be of similar quality and similar price but also should have better transient response for newer gpus as its ATX3.1 ( without the new cable). As per google, it also has 105C caps (Gospower G1208 as per tier list excel) vs 85C for MSI (Neither is Japanese ofc).

Both seems to be Tier C as per Tier list

Any reason not to go for CM MWE V3 Bronze over MSI one at similarprice ?

I believe CM MWE 550 V3 bronze is the better one. It’s newer, uses better topology and if you see the “full” range one its rated B compared to the 230V version which leads me to believe its being rated C only due to that and since we use 230V electricy that should be no real difference for me.

Check what the criteria chart for B rating says:

This further confirms my suspicion. It’s a B rated PSU that has been listed as tier C.

Ordered MWE V3 550 from Elitehubs yesterday night.

They delivered it quickly today afternoon itself. Very nice. Same city, but primeabgb used to take longer i think but dunno how it is today.

This is just as fast as Amazon 1 day shipping now and without the 7 day service center nonsense.

My ROG thor 850W makes a weird noise when running, not coil whine noise more like fan bearing noise, on Redditt people seem to be complaining about the fan being loud and making noise on quiet and normal mode.
