whatz the difference b’ween audigy2 value and audigy 2 ZS besides the firewire ?
absolutely nothing besides that.

And it turned out except that firewire, drive and extra gaming bundle the cards are exactly same. Both have 7.1 support.
No game with value. thats all.

Better audio quality. Not worth the extra 20$ unless you have extremely good speakers.

Im sorry but you are forgetting that alll other models apart from the Platinum and the ZS cannot handle DTS. So if you like me want to decode Dolby and DTS in the card then you need to get the Audigy 2 ZS and if you are really low on cash you can get the OEM version which is just $ 75 and is the same Audigy 2 ZS minus the extra drive console.

get the audigy 2 zs. i think u are still using your mx5021 so should be nice. me also using the same combo, zs & mx5021’s.
dont know if there is any difference in the two. but if there is 20$ aint a lot. just 900rs more. your spending around 2-2.5k anyways.
There’s no real diff between an audigy2 zs and value other than the lack of the firewire port and gold plated connectors. The value also uses a cheaper PCB which can’t be connected to a front panel bay. Thats about it. Go for value if you need to save cash.

If hes buying from newegg, and unless hes short of cash wouldnt it be better to for an Xfi Xtrememusic for around $100 instead?
gold plated connectors have rusted out for me since a long time. heh.
dint know xfi was 100$. i think its a better choice than zs then. otherwise stick to the value.
